Rajasthan Royals changed their name, While Chennai Super Kings switch ownership

Ahead of the 11th edition of Indian Premier League, the both returning teams of this league change a few things in their respective teams. The winner of first edition Rajasthan Royals shifted his name to “Royals”, as they remove the Rajasthan word from the name. They also shifted their base to Pune.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council approved the name a few months ago. That changes came in the ‘Royals’ due to the involvement of the Rising Pune Supergiants owner Sanjeev Goenka. It means he will be in the partnership with this team in the upcoming edition of this league.

On the other side, the champion side Chennai Super Kings switched their ownership. They transferred it to India Cements shareholders with the franchise valued. As we all know that N Srinivasan is the owner of this team till now. The former Indian captain MS Dhoni led this team for eight consecutive years and still ready to lead the team in the next 11th edition.
