Shaun Tait chooses his All-time ODI XI: Viv Richards misses out

When it comes to Australian fast bowlers, Shaun Tait is one of the first players that comes to our mind. The now retired Aussie cricketer was a nightmare for batsmen all over the world and is still considered to be one of the all time greatests. Thus, when he opines on a certain topic, people listen to him carefully. Very recently though, Shaun tait has opened up on his All time ODI playing XI and his revelation has led to some controversial takes as the Aussie pacer kept some legends out of the team. The most notable legend to be left out of West Indies batsman Vivian Richards.

Shaun Tait has kept Virender Sehwag and Adam Gilchrist as his openers. A dream duo indeed. Virender Sehwag’s aggressiveness and Adam Gilchrist’s consistency might be the best ever opening mix.

In at three Ricky Ponting, Tait’s former teammate, is an obvious choice. The former Australian captain was undoubtedly one of the best no.3 of all time. Supporting him in the middle order is Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar himself. Tendulkar was one of Tait’s arch rivals during his time.

Apart from them, Shaun Tait has also selected Brian Lara and Virat Kohli. He kept MS Dhoni as the finisher, although who would be the wicket-keeper between MS Dhoni and Adam Gilchrist, is debatable.

He has not kept only one spinner in the team in Shane Warne. The three fast bowlers include Wasim Akram ,Glenn McGrath and Shoaib Akhtar.
