Former Indian fast bowler S. Sreesanth has recently unveiled his All-Time Good Boys XI, a team comprising players from around the globe.

His selection includes five Indian players, himself among them, along with two Pakistanis, and one player each from Australia, Bangladesh, the West Indies, and South Africa. Notably, he chose Sourav Ganguly as the captain of this team and opted not to include any wicketkeeper-batsmen.

Sreesanth’s lineup excludes players from England, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand. A video of him announcing his All-Time Good Boys XI has quickly gone viral on social media.

In an interview with Sportskeeda, Sreesanth named Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, and himself as the Indian representatives. All of these players are known for their aggressive on-field performances. He also selected Ricky Ponting as the sole Australian in his squad.

The team features Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi from Pakistan, Shakib Al Hasan from Bangladesh, Kieron Pollard from the West Indies, and Andre Nel from South Africa.

S. Sreesanth has named Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli as his opening batsmen for his All-Time Good Boys XI, stating, “Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli will be opening.” It’s notable that Kohli began his international career as an opener alongside Gambhir. Ricky Ponting is positioned at number three in the batting order.

Sourav Ganguly is placed fourth, and Sreesanth has appointed him as the captain of the team, with Ricky Ponting as his deputy. At number five is Shahid Afridi, followed by all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan and Kieron Pollard at numbers six and seven, respectively. Sreesanth commented on his selections, saying, “Shakib, Shakib, how could I forget? He’s relentless with the umpires. And then there’s Kieron Pollard—he’ll play despite the plaster, he has a lot to offer.”

The 41-year-old fast bowler has also included Harbhajan Singh, Shoaib Akhtar, and Andre Nel as specialist bowlers, with himself rounding out the lineup. He added, “And at number eleven, it has to be me—Sreesanth. If the team is complete without me, it just can’t be right. I’ll take the new ball along with Shoaib Akhtar.”
