On Wednesday, the Senior Men’s Selection Committee announced the Indian squad for the forthcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies, set to be held in the Caribbean Islands and Florida, USA.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma have received their first-ever T20I call-ups to the Indian squad, as the selection panel led by Ajit Agarkar announces a 15-member team for the upcoming five-match series against the West Indies.
Sanju Samson makes a return to the team, while senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are once again not included in the T20I squad. Hardik Pandya will continue to lead the team as captain, with Suryakumar Yadav appointed as his deputy.
In terms of the bowling department, the spin options will be provided by Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravi Bishnoi. Notably, experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has not been included in the squad. Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Mukesh Kumar have been named as part of the pace department, with Avesh Khan making a return to the team.
