The final of the Indian Premier League witnessed a remarkable victory for the Chennai Super Kings over the Gujarat Titans on Monday night. Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, the Chennai-based team secured their fifth IPL title by achieving a thrilling five-wicket triumph against the reigning 2022 champions at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
Unfortunately, the game was affected by rain on Monday, leading to a reduction of five overs in CSK’s run-chase. As a result, the team had faced only three deliveries before play was halted due to the rain.
Due to the revised playing conditions for the 15-over game, none of the bowlers from the Gujarat Titans had the opportunity to bowl their full four-over quota. This adjustment in the rules worked to the advantage of the Chennai Super Kings, as pointed out by former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.
In a rain curtailed shortened final Yesterday CSK started batting with Shami. Rasid and Mohit losing one over each from their regular quota of 4 overs. That means league’s top 3 wicket takers were deprived of 18 balls and no wickets. That’s certainly played as an advantage to…

However, Pathan’s statement on social media received a backlash from CSK fans. Many of them contended that the Super Kings displayed exceptional batting skills to successfully pursue the target of 171 runs within the 15 overs.
Can't believe you are a cricket expert. U think 171 in 15 overs at 11.40 Rpo was easy and that too against the best bowling line up?? 9 out of 10 times bowling team can easily win in this situation and that one time was yesterday for CSK. Jadeja rayudu conway r experienced…

For 5overs, only 43runs were reduced

GT scored at 10+ RR and CSK were asked to score 11.5+RR per over
How is it unfair to GT?
Did you expect CSK to be chasing 200 in 15overs sir?
First of all, No one asked your opinion, and second, for the record, CSK would have won either way.

In the previous over against the Gujarat Titans, CSK required 13 runs to win. Initially, they managed only three runs from the first four deliveries. However, Ravindra Jadeja turned the tide in CSK’s favor by hitting a six and a four off the last two balls bowled by Mohit Sharma. This brilliant display snatched victory from Gujarat’s grasp, securing the coveted Cup for the Chennai Super Kings.
