WATCH : Aaliyah Alleyne steals the show with a spectacular dance celebration in WCPL

Barbados Royals’ decision to bowl first paid off early, with Hayley Matthews striking in the second over to remove the dangerous Deandra Dottin.

Trinbago Knight Riders’ woes deepened when Jemimah Rodrigues, the star of the previous match, fell cheaply in the fourth over.

Despite a brief recovery by Jannillea Glasgow and Shikha Pandey, Aaliyah Alleyne broke their partnership and marked the moment with a memorable celebration.

In the 11th over, Alleyne delivered a well-pitched ball that landed around the middle stump. Glasgow, trying to free up space for a big shot, mistimed her attempt.

Aiming to clear mid-off, she instead sent the ball high into the air, resulting in a straightforward catch for Amanda-Jade Wellington. Once the catch was secured, Alleyne’s excitement was palpable as she sprinted towards her teammates, Qiana Joseph and Rashada Williams.

After exchanging high fives, the trio dropped to the ground and raised their arms and legs in a synchronized, playful motion. They then leaped to their feet and broke into a spontaneous dance, capping off the wicket with a celebration that was as joyful as it was unique.
