The Peshawar batting started off strongly, led by Babar Azam and Saim Ayub, propelling their team to 29/0 in just three overs. However, their momentum was halted when Quetta managed to take crucial wickets of Mohammad Haris and Haseebullah Khan.
Despite this setback, Babar continued to shine, reaching a fifty off 29 balls. But his dismissal by Akeal Hosein turned the tide in Quetta’s favor, as Hosein went on to wreak havoc on the Peshawar batting lineup.
In the 16th over, Hosein dismissed Aamer Jamal with a well-pitched length ball, causing an edge that was swiftly caught by Quetta’s wicketkeeper Laurie Evans.
Hosein followed up with another impressive delivery, inducing Mehran Mumtaz to drag the ball onto his stumps off a thick under-edge, resulting in flying bails and an electrifying atmosphere in the Rawalpindi Stadium as Hosein eyed a hat trick.

On the very next delivery, Hosein bowled a sliding length ball outside off to Luke Wood, who attempted to defend but ended up edging it. Riley Rossouw, positioned at first slip, made a stunning diving catch to dismiss Wood. The Quetta team rushed towards Hosein in celebration, recognizing his remarkable achievement.
