Winning the toss and opting to field first, the Tigers started strong with Vidwath and Manvanth Kaverappa delivering lethal spells with the new ball.
However, LR Chethan’s 48 and Shubhang Hegde’s 52 managed to lift the Blasters to a total of 142, despite eight other players failing to reach double digits.
During the chase, an 81-run partnership between Thippa Reddy and Krishnan Shrijith laid a solid foundation for the Tigers, but the Blasters fought back, including a controversial dismissal of Manish Pandey that sparked tension.
In the 16th over, Kranthi Kumar delivered a good length ball into Pandey’s body. Attempting to create space, Pandey tried to guide it behind square on the off side, but the ball seamed in, narrowly missing his inside edge and landing in the keeper’s gloves.

The keeper and bowler’s appeal was upheld by the umpire, but Pandey, clearly displeased, immediately confronted the official, arguing over the decision. At one point, he even gestured towards his eye, expressing his frustration, which quickly became a hot topic on Twitter.
