WATCH : Andre Fletcher effortlessly smashes colossal ‘no look six’ for 110 meters

The decision to field first didn’t go as planned for the Dubai Capitals, as the MI Emirates openers, Muhammed Waseem and Kusal Perera, got off to a blazing start, amassing 72 runs without loss by the end of the powerplay.

Despite the relentless onslaught from the duo, Zahir Khan managed to halt their partnership at 77 runs in the seventh over.

With Andre Fletcher, who had struggled in the tournament so far with a highest score of 45 runs, now at the crease, the pressure was on him to deliver in the finals.

However, Fletcher rose to the occasion magnificently, displaying his brilliance as he strode to the pitch with the aim of bolstering his team’s total. He reached his half-century in grand style, smashing a colossal ‘no-look six’.

In the 16th over’s final delivery, Scott Kuggeleijn pitched a full-length ball, anticipating Fletcher to drive it. Yet, Fletcher swiftly maneuvered, making space with his front leg and dispatched it for a six over long-on.

The ball soared an impressive 110 meters, as Fletcher replicated his trademark ‘no-look’ shot with finesse. Following this remarkable shot, Fletcher shared a glance with Kuggeleijn, before breaking into a grin to celebrate the spectacular moment.
