WATCH: Andre Russell dismisses AB De Villiers with a perfect Yorker

RCB has been off to a horrible start in the second phase of IPL 2021. Playing their first match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Virat Kohli and men have lost as many of 5 wickets very early on in the match and their three big batsmen – Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell all failed to impress. None of them even managed to score double digit runs and as it now stands, RCB are in grave danger.

The formidable force of Royal Challengers Bangalore had always been intimidated by Kolkata Knight Riders from the very first season of the Indian Premier League no matter how strong their squad is and this time the result was no different. Although the match is yet to be played fully, this much had been understood that Royal Challengers Bangalore will struggle to survive against a KKR side that did not do that well in the first phase of the season.

Virat Kohli’s wicket was still understandable as the RCB skipper has lately been in a terrible for. But the fact that KKR allrounder Andre Russell manhandled in form batsman AB de Villiers is downright unfathomable and came as a shocker for many.

AB De Villiers departing for a Duck in IPL is indeed a rare scene and over that, Andre Russell completely humiliated the batsman with a Yorker.

Just moments after that RCB lost the wicket of Glen Maxwell as well. The only batsman of the RCB side that did will tonight so far, is youngster Devdutt Padikkal who unluckily lost his wicket after scoring just 22 runs. He was looking to be in great touch but lost his wicket to Lockie Ferguson.
