WATCH : Arjun Tendulkar’s marvellous six against Mohit Sharma

On April 25, Mumbai Indians faced off against Gujarat Titans in an IPL 2023 match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During the GT vs. MI game, Arjun Tendulkar hit a fantastic six that drew comparisons to his father Sachin Tendulkar due to the composure he displayed. Cricket enthusiasts were quick to take notice.

Arjun Tendulkar has played in four matches for the Mumbai Indians since his IPL debut on April 16. However, it was during the game against Gujarat Titans that he received his first chance to display his batting skills, and he impressed everyone with a powerful six.

After the dismissal of Piyush Chawla, Arjun Tendulkar came in to bat at number 9 for the Mumbai Indians. The young all-rounder took five singles from the first five deliveries he faced, and then prepared himself for a big shot.

In the final over of Mumbai Indians’ innings, Mohit Sharma bowled a short ball on the first delivery. Arjun Tendulkar remained composed and pulled the ball confidently over the deep square leg boundary for a 73-meter maximum.

Arjun Tendulkar’s impressive composure during his debut IPL six sparked comparisons with his father, Sachin Tendulkar, among cricket fans. Despite Mohit Sharma’s decent line and length, the ball sailed over the square leg boundary leaving the pacer in disbelief.

However, on the fourth delivery of the same over, Mohit made a comeback by delivering a slowish ball. Arjun attempted to heave it over the long-on boundary, but Joshua Little easily caught the ball, leading to Mumbai Indians losing their ninth wicket.
