WATCH : Azam Khan proves fitness doubters wrong with jaw-dropping diving catch

Faf du Plessis’s struggles in the CPL continued as he fell cheaply once again after Saint Lucia was put into bat. The Proteas star was dismissed in the second over, dealing an early blow to the Kings’ top order.

The situation deteriorated when Ackeem Auguste and Bhanuka Rajapaksa were also dismissed before the powerplay ended, further complicating matters for the hosts.

To make matters worse, Johnson Charles was dismissed shortly after, falling victim to a stunning catch by Azam Khan. On the fourth ball of the sixth over, Keemo Paul delivered a full-length ball outside the off stump.

Charles attempted to drive it through the offside but mis-timed the shot. Instead of heading to the boundary, the ball edged his bat and veered behind him.

Azam Khan, alert behind the stumps, seized the opportunity. With lightning reflexes, Khan leaped to his right and, in mid-air, made an extraordinary catch, securing the ball with both hands.
