Pakistan faced a challenging batting session after being put in to bat by USA skipper Monank Patel. The early loss of key wickets—Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan, and Fakhar Zaman—during the powerplay added significant pressure to Pakistan’s innings.

However, a resilient 72-run partnership between Babar Azam and Shadab Khan steadied the team, taking them to 93/3 by the 12th over. Yet, the wickets began to tumble again when Nosthush Kenjige removed Shadab in the 13th over, leading to a tense moment involving Azam and a vocal fan.

On the fifth ball of the 12th over, Kenjige delivered a straight delivery to Babar Azam, who attempted a defensive shot but misjudged the line. The ball glanced off his pad and hit the leg stump, prompting an immediate appeal from Kenjige.

Azam opted for a DRS review, but the giant screen confirmed that the ball’s impact was in line with the stumps, and ball-tracking showed it clipping the leg stump. Disheartened, the 25-year-old Azam walked back for a golden duck.

As Azam exited the field and walked past the boundary rope, a comment from a fan caught his attention. Clearly irritated and frustrated, Azam shot a piercing glare at the fan as he continued his walk back to the pavilion. The incident quickly ignited discussions on social media, with Twitter buzzing with opinions about the confrontation.
