WATCH : Bumrah sparks magic with old Kookaburra to castle Head shouldering arms

“Cometh the hour, cometh the man” – a phrase often used to describe the key moments in the careers of Travis Head and Jasprit Bumrah during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and it set the stage for an exciting clash on Boxing Day.

On this occasion, it was the Indian who stole the spotlight, delivering in style to silence the MCG. Bumrah to Head, out Bowled!!

He’s knocked him over! A moment of misjudgment has cost Head his wicket, and the dangerous batter departs for a duck! Great captaincy from Rohit to bring Bumrah back into the attack, and he has delivered.

The decision to set an attacking field for Head proved to be a clever move as well. Such tactics create doubts in a batter’s mind, and India has been rewarded. Bumrah bowled a back-of-a-length delivery just outside off stump from round the wicket.

Head, thinking the ball wouldn’t seam in or would move away, raised his bat to leave it, but the ball just seamed in slightly, clipping the top of off stump. This is a huge breakthrough for India. Head could have taken the game away from them, but not today. A brilliant passage of play for India.
