WATCH : Bumrah was saying it’s close, Rohit refused to take DRS

Despite showcasing dominance in the initial two days of the first Test against England, India faced a setback on Day 3. They lost three wickets for 15 runs, restricting their lead to 190 runs.

However, a post-lunch resurgence, marked by the sudden display of reverse swing and Jasprit Bumrah’s masterful ball manipulation, hinted at a recovery for the hosts.

In an exceptional spell on a pitch challenging for pacers, Bumrah created an opportunity for a wicket. Unfortunately, skipper Rohit Sharma’s decision-making drew criticism.

On the last ball of the 17th over, Bumrah’s delivery to Ben Duckett sharply moved in the air, prompting a loud appeal. Despite replays suggesting the ball would hit the leg stump, Sharma initially opted not to review.

This led to backlash on social media, with many questioning the captain’s decision to disregard valuable input from a senior team member during a crucial DRS discussion.
