Looking to build on their impressive total of 376 runs, bolstered by a massive partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, India faced some challenges as Taskin Ahmed took three wickets and Hasan Mahmud completed his five-wicket haul.
In their second innings, Bangladesh stumbled right from the start, with Shadman struggling after a crafty opening from Bumrah.
Bumrah began with three outswingers targeting the leg stump, of which Shadman managed just a couple of runs. A hard-length delivery then angled across him, narrowly missing the outside edge.
For the final ball of the over, Bumrah switched to around the wicket, delivering a ball that pitched on the off stump but didn’t swing away as expected. Instead, it nipped back in, clipping the top of the off stump after beating Shadman’s bat. Unprepared for this variation, the left-hander misjudged the delivery, which was a testament to Bumrah’s skill.

Shadman’s unusual habit of leaping while playing his shots ultimately led to his downfall, sending social media into a frenzy over the brilliance of one of the game’s greatest bowlers.
