Australia’s lead of 296, established by their Day 3 score of 123, seemed in jeopardy when Marnus Labuschagne departed without scoring. However, Alex Carey and Cam Green came to the rescue, preventing a collapse and adding more pressure on India.
Just as it appeared that Australia would secure a win without any hiccups, Ravindra Jadeja intervened. In the 63rd over’s final delivery, Jadeja bowled a slightly short ball outside the leg stump of Green, pitching into the rough.
Green, anticipating its trajectory, decided to leave it. Unfortunately, he neglected to move his bat and gloves out of the way. The ball grazed the bottom of his glove and dislodged the bails. Green was devastated, and the reactions of those around him drew attention from Twitter users.
Virat Kohli, positioned at first slip, was the first to react to the dismissal. Initially disappointed, he thought Green had escaped, only realizing later that the ball had hit the wicket.

Pujara, fielding at forward short leg, was momentarily blinded by Green’s large frame and contemplated appealing for a leg-before dismissal. Eventually, he too realized that Green was indeed out and joined in the celebrations.
