Opting to field first turned out to be a costly decision for Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis as they faced off against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.
Making the most of RCB’s choice, Kolkata’s openers, Phil Salt and Sunil Narine, swiftly accumulated a formidable 55/0 in just four overs.
However, RCB found some respite when they managed to break the dangerous opening partnership within the powerplay. Angkrish Raghuvanshi also fell victim, courtesy of an exceptional catch by Royal Challengers all-rounder Cameron Green.
On the final delivery of the sixth over delivered by Yash Dayal, Raghuvanshi encountered a good-length ball angling towards the leg stump. The 18-year-old batsman leaned across, attempting to flick it over mid-wicket for a boundary. Yet, Green, strategically positioned, remained focused on the ball.
Taking a few steps back, he executed a flawless leap, clasping the ball in his right hand for a spectacular catch. Green’s height played to his advantage, as very few could have managed to grab it from that position.

The visiting team erupted in jubilation, with Virat Kohli visibly thrilled, embracing Green thereafter. Twitter users were astounded by Green’s extraordinary feat and flooded social media with praise for his outstanding catch.
