India A faced the daunting task of chasing 275 on a challenging fourth-day pitch at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium after India B had been dismissed in the morning session.
The chase struggled from the start, with frequent wickets leaving India A in a precarious position at 76/4 by Lunch, and then 99/6 shortly after the break.
The responsibility fell on the experienced KL Rahul to lead his team out of trouble, and he received strong support from the home crowd.
As Rahul battled the conditions, the atmosphere at Chinnaswamy Stadium was charged with chants of “KL Rahul, RCB captain.” Rahul, a former member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad, had played a pivotal role in their 2016 campaign, helping them reach the IPL final.
