WATCH : Diehard Fan Storms the Field to Meet Virat Kohli at His Ranji Trophy Return

Virat Kohli, the iconic figure of Indian cricket, made his first Ranji Trophy appearance for Delhi since 2012, playing in front of his home crowd, which created a thrilling moment for his fans.

During the match against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, one devoted fan managed to breach the tight security enforced by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).

The fan ran onto the field to meet his idol and was seen touching Kohli’s feet before being escorted off by security.

As the fan was being removed from the ground, Kohli was visibly seen pointing toward the security team, urging them not to mistreat the fan. This gesture clearly highlighted Kohli’s respect and affection for his supporters.

Delhi captain Ayush Badoni won the toss in their final Ranji Trophy match and opted to bowl first against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The decision proved to be a smart one as Delhi quickly made inroads, dismissing three Railways batters for just 21 runs in 6.1 overs.

Siddhant Sharma was the first to strike, removing Railways’ opener Anchit Yadav (7), and he followed that up by getting rid of captain Suraj Ahuja (14) for his second wicket.

On the very first ball of the next over, the sixth of the innings, Delhi pacer Navdeep Saini bowled Vivek Singh for a duck off just 14 balls. However, Mohammad Said and Upendra Yadav steadied the innings, and as of the latest update, Railways are 61/3.
