WATCH : Eagles disturbed Glenn Maxwell against LSG game

In the first innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore displayed an impressive performance with their clean hitting, particularly from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell who each scored half-centuries.

This led to RCB posting a formidable total of 212/2. The batters’ fluid strokeplay was a notable highlight, but an amusing incident involving Maxwell in the final over also caught the attention of spectators.

As the final over began, KL Rahul brought on Mark Wood to bowl, hoping he would be economical. However, during the second delivery, an eagle flew into Maxwell’s line of sight, causing a brief interruption in play.

While Wood paused his run-up, Maxwell comically began jogging down the track, which entertained the crowd and commentators. The umpire signaled for a dead ball, and play resumed with Wood returning to his mark.

RCB managed to achieve a formidable score, thanks to a solid start fueled by Kohli’s aggressive batting in the powerplay. While Faf struggled initially, LSG’s bowler did not manage to take any wickets but performed decently with the ball.

However, Kohli’s dismissal for 61 by Mishra paved the way for Maxwell to enter the game, and he quickly changed the momentum of the game. Faf regained his timing, treating the crowd to some impressive strokeplay, and the last seven overs yielded 108 runs.

LSG relied on their spinners to slow down RCB’s scoring rate, but they were unsuccessful in doing so for long. On a wicket that followed the usual pattern, with only Wood managing to restrict RCB’s scoring to some extent with his pace.
