On Day 2 of the Duleep Trophy, India B continued to frustrate India A as Musheer Khan and Navdeep Saini extended their overnight partnership of 108 runs.
Shubman Gill took the new ball as soon as it became available, but it had little effect, and the scorecard advanced from 202/7 to XXX/7 by the 100-over mark.
Despite this, Musheer struggled particularly against Shivam Dube, prompting Gill to bring the medium-pacer back into the attack.
However, Musheer responded ingeniously.Dube bowled around the off-stump for the first half of the 95th over before delivering a short ball to force Musheer into a defensive shot.
Gill then repositioned the field to prevent Musheer from retaining strike and to expose Navdeep to the pacers. To Gill’s surprise, Musheer responded by getting down on his left knee and delicately guiding the ball to fine leg for an easy run.
