WATCH : Glenn Maxwell unbelievable shot on Sandeep Sharma

Maxwell plays an inventive and effective switch hit as Sandeep Sharma delivers a back of length ball just outside off. The shot results in a top-edge that sends the ball to the left of over short third for a boundary.

On Sunday, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will host Match 60 of IPL 2023 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. RR are still in the race for playoffs, sitting at the fifth position on the standings with 12 points from 12 matches, having won six and lost six.

With just two matches left, their goal is to secure victories and hope for favorable results from other matches. On the other hand, RCB, led by Faf du Plessis, are at seventh place with 10 points from 11 matches, including five wins and six defeats. To qualify for playoffs, they must win all three remaining matches in the league phase and also rely on other results to fall in their favor.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have set a competitive total at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. After electing to bat first, du Plessis and Kohli gave the Challengers a decent start, but Kohli was unable to maintain the momentum. Despite a 50-run partnership by the RCB openers, Kohli’s knock was rather unsteady, lacking his usual fluency.

Maxwell came in at number 3 and played positively right from the start, hitting a few powerful shots. He and Faf built a partnership of over 50 runs for the second wicket, with both players scoring half-centuries. However, in the last five overs, the Royals managed to pull things back as most RCB batters struggled to score on the pitch.

Just when it seemed like RR would limit RCB to a lower score, Anuj Rawat’s quick innings helped RCB reach 171/5. It remains to be seen whether this total will be enough against the powerful batting line-up of RR.
