Former Indian cricketers S Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir engaged in a heated argument during the Eliminator match between the Gujarat Giants and India Capitals in the Legends League Cricket on December 6.
Tension sparked in the second over when Gambhir smacked Sreesanth for a six over deep mid-wicket, followed by a boundary on the next delivery. The subsequent ball, slightly wide, resulted in Gambhir hitting it straight to the fielder. This prompted Sreesanth to say something to Gambhir, leading to a confrontation between the two former teammates.
Gautam Gambhir showcased his prowess by scoring 51 runs off 30 deliveries for the India Capitals, striking seven fours and a six, contributing significantly to his team’s total of 223/7 in 20 overs.
Despite Chris Gayle’s impressive 84-run knock off 55 balls for the Gujarat Giants, they succumbed to a defeat by 12 runs. Gambhir’s Capitals will now clash against the Manipal Tigers in Qualifier 2.
Emotions are always running high, when you were very passionate about your game.
