In response, Jersey got dismissed for 218, with Karthik Meiyappan and Junaid Siddique taking four and three wickets respectively. While the match itself was thrilling, one moment that caught a lot of attention was the comical dismissal of Josh Lawrenson by Rohan Mustafa.
During the 21st over of Jersey’s chase, Mustafa caught and bowled Lawernson, but not before bouncing the ball several times in his hands. Upon completing the catch, Mustafa jokingly attempted to hit Harrison Carlyon, who was positioned at the non-striker’s end.
The hilarious video quickly spread across social media, leaving fans and viewers laughing out loud. Regarding the match, Jersey fell 66 runs short in their pursuit of 285, despite a crucial innings of 85 runs by Harrison Carlyon. Asa Tribe also contributed with a score of 40 off 48 balls.
Karthik Meiyappan and Junaid Siddique were the top wicket-takers for UAE, with four and three wickets respectively. Zahoor Khan took two wickets while Mustafa claimed one.
