India vs Pakistan may be the most anticipated cricket rivalry, but India vs Bangladesh never fails to bring drama to the pitch. This was evident during the Emerging Asia Cup semifinal clash between India A and Bangladesh A on Friday. Harshit Rana and Soumya Sarkar engaged in a heated verbal exchange, showcasing the intensity of the contest.
After Soumya Sarkar was dismissed by Yuvrajsinh Dodiya, Rana celebrated aggressively right in front of him, which didn’t sit well with Sarkar, who was still processing his dismissal. Sarkar retaliated with some choice words, and Rana didn’t hold back, asking Sarkar to leave the field.
The argument escalated, drawing the intervention of on-field umpires and Indian players, who urged both players to calm down. Sai Sudarshan even joined hands in front of Sarkar, signaling him to leave the ground.
As for the match, it was a thrilling contest ultimately won by India A, led by Yash Dhull. Batting first, the Indian team posted a competitive 212/10. Captain Dhull led the charge with a 66-run knock off 85 balls, and contributions from Abhishek Sharma (34 off 63), Sai Sudarshan (21 off 24), and Manav Suthar (21 off 24) added to the total.
In response, Bangladesh made a quick start with Mohammad Naim (38 off 40) and Tanzid Hasan (51 off 56) forming a solid 70-run opening partnership. However, they lost wickets rapidly and were eventually bowled out for 160. Manav Suthar (3/32) and Nishant Sindhu (5/20) wreaked havoc in the middle, securing a victory for India A.
