WATCH : Jaiswal almost sprints into another run out after Pant warning

India found themselves in a tight spot when Virat Kohli was dismissed on the last ball of the first session, leaving the scoreboard at 33/3.

However, Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal steadied the ship, fending off a threatening Mitchell Starc spell to avoid further collapse.

In the 31st over, Jaiswal attempted to take a quick single, but Pant was having none of it. He immediately sent his partner back and advised him to avoid unnecessary risks, urging him to communicate his calls clearly. That seemed to be the end of the matter, at least as far as Pant was concerned.

Yet, 12 balls later, India found themselves on the edge of another potential crisis. In the first ball of Boland’s next over, Pant played a good-length ball to backward point.

What should have been a routine delivery turned tense when Jaiswal inexplicably found himself halfway down the pitch. Although nothing came of it for Australia, Pant was quick to approach his partner and calm his nerves.

The incident sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with Twitter users largely backing Pant’s approach and sharing their views across various platforms.
