WATCH : Jaiswal takes a cheeky dig at Konstas for missing the “good shots” mark

Australia dominated the opening day of the Test match, driven by exceptional bowling performances from Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc.

The Indian team was dismissed for a modest total of 185 runs, with Rishabh Pant standing out as the top scorer with 40.

However, the day’s highlight came late in the evening when tensions flared between Jasprit Bumrah and young Australian batter Sam Konstas, setting the stage for a charged atmosphere on day two.

As play resumed on the second day, the intensity persisted. Konstas struggled against India’s disciplined bowling, adding to the pressure already weighing on him after his exchange with Bumrah.

Seizing the moment, Indian fielder Yashasvi Jaiswal, stationed at gully, taunted Konstas with a sharp comment: “Kya hua? Shot nahi lag raha hai kya?” (What happened? Can’t hit good shots anymore?).

The jibe visibly unsettled the Australian southpaw, further escalating the tension in this heated contest.
