WATCH : Josh Little’s supreme reflex to overcome fumble and perfect a screamer

The batting order of the Sharjah Warriors faced intense pressure from the left-arm pacers of the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders during the powerplay.

Sean Williams attempted to elevate the scoring rate, but he was outwitted by the exceptional bowling skills and agile reflexes of Ireland’s pacer, Josh Little, just as the field restrictions were about to ease.

In the sixth over’s fifth delivery, Little changed his angle to come over the wicket and delivered a short-of-length ball outside the fifth stump. Unfortunately, Williams couldn’t connect well as he tried to step down and play through the V region.

The ball went high on the bat, creating a looping trajectory towards the right of the bowler. Remarkably, Little executed a diving effort to catch the ball, sending the Zimbabwean batter back to the pavilion.

As the ball rebounded off the bat, Little attempted to catch it with both hands, but the first try was unsuccessful. Eventually, the ball veered to his right and slightly beyond. Undeterred, the fast bowler kept his focus on the white ball, diving sideways to secure it with his right hand.

In a split second, the left-arm pacer showcased an extraordinary catch in his follow-through, extending almost to the adjacent strip. Recognized as a strong contender for the best catch of the tournament, social media, especially Twitter, was flooded with praises and opinions about this remarkable feat.
