Punjab Kings have set a target of 126 in front of Kane Williamson’s SunRisers Hyderabad at Sharjah. Both teams are hungry to take away two points as both have them lost their opening matches after the resumption of the season.
Punjab Kings failed to put up a big score on the board after being put to bat by Kane Williamson. Jason Holder picked up three wickets for his side and restricted PBKS to 125/7 after the completion of 20 overs.
Former SRH opener David Warner yet again was dismissed cheaply. The Aussies international looked out of form for most of the season because of which he also gave up his captaincy midway through the season. Mohammad Shami dismissed Warner in the first over after scoring 2 runs. Wridhiman Saha however is standing firm on the pitch who has so far scored 7 off 5 deliveries.

However, skipper Kane Williamson did not stay much longer in the pitch after arriving in the 1st over. Shami bowled a length delivery which was seaming back in towards the batsman. Williamson was looking for a drive away from his body and that shot isn’t easy with seam movement on these slow decks. The ball takes an edge off the bat and goes on to hit the leg stump.
It looks like Punjab Kings are not leaving SunRisers so early. They are desperate for a win and are in no mood to gift two points to SunRisers Hyderabad. SRH cannot afford to lose the match as it will dim their chances of qualifying in the playoffs this season.
