WATCH : Karma strikes Rizwan after selling Noman down the river

On the second morning, Pakistan’s overnight batters, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan, resumed their cautious approach against the West Indies spinners after a delayed start.

The pair successfully kept the bowlers at bay for the first hour, but Shakeel was dismissed soon after the drinks break, triggering a flurry of wickets, including the run-out of Noman in the 62nd over.

In the third ball of the 62nd over, Kevin Sinclair bowled a fuller delivery at Rizwan’s stumps. Rizwan, leaning forward, tapped the ball and preemptively called for a run.

From the non-striker’s end, Noman responded quickly, covering half the pitch when Rizwan saw a fielder closing in from silly mid-off. He immediately sent Noman back, but the fielder’s quick throw to the wicketkeeper was swiftly relayed to the bowler, who removed the bails just in time to run out Noman.

Both Rizwan and Noman were visibly frustrated by the run-out, but karma seemed to catch up with Rizwan on the very next ball. Sinclair, altering his length, sent a ball towards the stumps, and Rizwan attempted a reverse sweep.

However, he missed and the ball struck his pad. Rizwan reviewed the on-field decision, but after the unsuccessful challenge, he walked off the field, disappointed. The incident sparked reactions on social media, with many quick to attribute Rizwan’s dismissal to “karma” for his role in the run-out of the tailender.
