In the IPL match held in Jaipur on Wednesday, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were asked to bat first by Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers had a slow start and managed to score only 37/0 during the powerplay.
Later, the opening pair put on 82 runs together before Jason Holder got KL Rahul out for 39(32). Subsequently, LSG lost three more wickets, including Kyle Mayers, who was dismissed by R Ashwin for 51(42). Meanwhile, RR made a change to their playing XI by replacing Adam Zampa with Jason Holder, whereas LSG decided not to include Mark Wood in their playing XI.
Rahul strikes a massive six off Chahal’s delivery! It was a non-turner, and KL got into position perfectly for a huge slog sweep, sending the ball flying over mid-wicket for a whopping 103-meter hit. The ball almost went out of the ground, and Chahal’s full delivery was punished for the distance it traveled.
Buttler catches out Rahul off Holder’s delivery! It was only a matter of time as Holder is known for his expertise with the slower ball. The ball was hit straight down the ground, traveling a distance of 78m. Holder bowled it in the slot, tempting KL to take a swing, which he did, but he mistimed the shot, and it landed right into the hands of Buttler at long-on.
It was a high-risk shot considering the challenging nature of the pitch. Finally, RR got the crucial wicket they were seeking. KL Rahul scored 39 runs in 32 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six.
