WATCH : Klaasen lapse forces no-ball call and robs Cummins of screamer

Much like their opponents Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians found the going tough on a sluggish Wankhede pitch on Thursday as they began their chase of a challenging 163. Rohit Sharma gave MI a brisk start with a six-laced cameo of 26, injecting early energy into the innings.

After his dismissal, Ryan Rickelton picked up the mantle, unleashing three consecutive boundaries off Eshaan Malinga to keep the momentum alive.

Sensing the need for a breakthrough, SRH skipper Pat Cummins introduced leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari right after the powerplay — and it nearly paid off immediately. Just four balls into his spell, Rickelton tried to loft one through the covers but found Cummins stationed there.

The captain dived full stretch to his right and pulled off what looked like a stunning catch, sending the MI opener back to the pavilion.

But just as Rickelton approached the dugout, the umpires decided to take another look. On review, it was revealed that Heinrich Klaasen — behind the stumps — had positioned his gloves marginally in front of the stumps at the moment of contact, a clear breach of wicketkeeping rules.

The decision stunned the SRH camp, with Klaasen visibly crestfallen after realizing his error had cost them a crucial wicket. Rickelton, meanwhile, returned to the crease with a smile, much to the amusement of fans online, as Twitter lit up with reactions to the bizarre dismissal reversal.
