India struggled to gain momentum in their run chase during the first T20I against West Indies at the Brian Lara Stadium. The slow pitch made it difficult for the batters to get going. Despite this, they managed to reduce the equation to 37 runs required in five overs after a 13-run over from Obed McCoy.
However, the game swung in favor of the West Indies again when Kyle Mayers displayed exceptional fielding skills in the next over, making them favorites once more.
Jason Holder had dismissed Hardik Pandya in the 16th over, but with Samson and Axar Patel at the crease, India still had a chance.
During Axar’s knock, Samson attempted to take a quick single, but Mayers’ brilliant fielding from short cover caught him short of his crease. Mayers’ swift throw hit the stumps accurately from a challenging angle, leaving Samson stranded and out of his ground.

With Samson’s dismissal, India was left with tailenders, and Kuldeep Yadav walked in next. Social media was quick to praise the powerhouse West Indian all-rounder for his exceptional fielding skills.
