WATCH : Markram contends for catch of tournament with kangaroo-like grab in Cape Town

In pursuit of 158 runs, the Durban’s Super Giants encountered a shaky start when opener Tony de Zorzi fell victim to a short, rapid delivery from Marco Jensen. The focus then shifted to Quinton de Kock and Matthew Breetzke to propel the DSG innings during the powerplay.

However, Breetzke, known for his aggressive batting, failed to deliver fireworks this time and departed in the fourth over with the scoreboard reading 13/3.

The woes continued for Durban’s Super Giants as JJ Smuts fell to a brilliant catch by Aiden Markram off Ottniel Baartman’s bowling. In the final delivery of the fourth over, Smuts attempted a pull shot towards mid-on, where Markram was strategically positioned.

Reacting swiftly, Markram leaped to his left, securing a stunning one-handed catch while airborne for a moment. The crowd in Cape Town was left in awe witnessing Markram’s athleticism as the SEC team approached their captain to commend his effort.

The Twitterverse was captivated by Markram’s incredible athleticism and took to social media to praise the SEC skipper.
