WATCH : MS Dhoni playfully refuses to shake hands with Dwayne Bravo

In a lighthearted post-match moment, Chennai Super Kings’ iconic wicketkeeper-batsman, MS Dhoni, shared a jovial exchange with bowling coach Dwayne Bravo following the team’s commanding victory over the Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday, March 26th.

As Bravo went around exchanging handshakes and hugs, Dhoni amusingly avoided the customary handshake with the former West Indian all-rounder, playfully surprising him by feigning a playful hit, all in good spirits. CSK clinched a resounding 63-run win over GT in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match held on Tuesday.

Opting to bat first, Chennai posted a formidable total of 206/6 on the scoreboard, propelled by Shivam Dube’s blistering 51 off 23 deliveries and Rachin Ravindra’s brisk 46 off 20 balls. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad also contributed with a solid 46 off 36 balls.

In response, Gujarat Titans could only manage 143/8 in their chase, as Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpande, and Mustafizur Rahman claimed two wickets each to thwart their efforts. As the Chennai Super Kings players made their way back to the dugout after their convincing victory, bowling coach Bravo eagerly awaited their return.

He warmly greeted skipper Gaikwad with a handshake and a hug. Meanwhile, Dhoni, trailing behind the CSK captain, opted out of the customary handshake with the bowling coach. Instead, he playfully startled the former West Indian all-rounder by pretending to throw a brief scare his way.
