During the 10th warm-up match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, where Pakistan faced Australia in Hyderabad, the Australians won the toss and chose to bat. David Warner and Mitch Marsh forged an opening partnership of 83 runs, but Haris Rauf ended Warner’s innings at 48 in the 13th over.
Interestingly, it was Rauf who experienced Pakistan’s latest fielding mishap in the 23rd over. In the first ball of the 23rd over, Rauf bowled a delivery that Marnus Labuschagne flicked towards deep square leg.
Mohammed Nawaz and Mohamed Wasim sprinted toward the ball but hesitated, leading to a bizarre and comical moment where neither player committed to fielding it.
Astonishingly, the ball slipped between both of them and reached the boundary, leaving Rauf visibly frustrated.
