WATCH : Pant’s emotional hug after Kohli escapes runout scare due to Khaled’s blunder

Chasing a daunting 233-run deficit, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma ignited a spectacular innings, reaching fifty runs in just the third over.

While Rohit fell to Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the fourth, Jaiswal continued the assault, supported by Shubman Gill.

Their 72-run partnership ended after the Tea break, with both Gill and Rohit dismissed cheaply by Shakib Al Hasan. As Virat Kohli stepped in, a pivotal moment unfolded involving a missed run-out opportunity.

The first ball of the 18th over was a no-ball, which Rishabh Pant nudged for a single. On the next delivery, Kohli attempted a drive but inside-edged the ball onto his pads and set off for a run.

Pant, who had called for the single, tried to stop Kohli as the bowler, Khaled, chased the ball. Khaled, however, missed a straightforward direct hit, allowing Kohli to escape.

Litton Das, visibly frustrated, looked on as Pant embraced Kohli, sharing smiles amid the tension. This heartwarming moment did not go unnoticed on social media, sparking conversations across the Twitterverse.
