Indian cricket team’s young opening batsman, Prithvi Shaw, who is currently in England playing county cricket, is once again making headlines. He has had a stunning start to his county season, scoring a blazing half-century.
Representing Northamptonshire, Shaw smashed 65 runs off just 39 balls in an intra-squad match. Northamptonshire has shared a video of his innings in which Shaw is seen playing beautiful shots all around the field.
In this intra-squad match, Shaw has demonstrated that he is fully prepared to make a mark on English soil. Prithvi Shaw will make his debut for his county team on Friday (August 4) in a one-day match against Gloucestershire.
If Shaw continues his current form in the upcoming matches, he will strengthen his claim for a comeback to Team India. However, for that, he needs to deliver explosive performances with the bat. Currently, the Indian selectors are not inclined to include Prithvi Shaw in the second and third elevens of the Indian team, which is why he was not picked for the Asian Games in the Indian cricket team.
Getting straight down to business. 💪

In that case, if Prithvi wants to tempt the selectors, he will have to perform well in England. Before heading to England to play county cricket, Prithvi had spoken to the media and believed that this would be a golden opportunity for him. Prithvi Shaw had said before leaving for England, “This is a great opportunity for me, and I will leave no stone unturned to express myself here. I am grateful to Northamptonshire for giving me this chance. I think this is going to be quite amazing. I am eagerly waiting for this opportunity.”
