During the 42nd match of the 2021 edition of IPL between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings in Abu Dhabi, PBKS young leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi picked up two straight wickets to shift the momentum towards his side.
Kieron Pollard and Jasprit Bumrah restricted Punjab Kings to 135/6 in 20 overs. Part time bowler Kieron Pollard picked up two important wickets of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. Bumrah also picked up the wicket of West Indian power-hitter Nicolas Pooran and Deepak Hooda.

Mumbai Indians started slow while chasing down the total. They only scored 15 in the first three overs. PBKS skipper KL Rahul then introduced rookie spinner Ravi Bishnoi into the attack. Playing his first delivery of the over, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma went on to play a slog-weep and miscued it to the short mid-on fielder. Mandeep Singh grabbed the ball and PBKS got its first breakthrough.
However, the young leg spinner did not stop there. Suryakumar Yadav arrived in the pitch who is yet to score a double digit run in the 2nd half of the season. Suryakumar who had no idea of Bishnoi’s googly left a big gap between his bat and pad. Suryakumar tried to drive the delivery but the 21-year-old spinner knocked his stumps off. Suryakumar Yadav departed for a duck and his poor form with the bat continues.

Ravi Bishnoi has now made two impactful performances for his team after the resumption of the tournament. Earlier against SRH, Bishnoi picked up three wickets to restrict SRH to chase down the total.
MI are in a big trouble after losing two wickets in the powerplay scoring just 30 runs. Punjab Kings will do everything in their control to defend the low total as they did against SunRisers Hyderabad.
