In the second ODI of the three-match series in Barbados, Team India suffered a heavy defeat against West Indies. After winning the toss, West Indies chose to bowl, and India faced a poor batting performance. Surprisingly, Hardik Pandya came out for the toss instead of regular captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, as they were rested for the match, leaving fans puzzled.
The confusion continued during the game with Sanju Samson batting at 3 and all-rounder Axar Patel following him at 4, which added to the confusion among fans. After a solid 90-run opening partnership, India faced a collapse, losing five wickets in just 23 deliveries. Ishan Kishan, however, displayed composure and scored 55, marking his second consecutive half-century.
The Indian innings experienced rain delays, causing breaks, yet the dressing room remained relatively calm. Interestingly, Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal shared a light moment during the first break, with Jadeja getting ready to bat.
After Samson’s dismissal, which was the fifth wicket to fall, a sudden shower in Barbados interrupted the game, and the players hurriedly made their way to the dressing room. Jadeja, who was the next batsman in line, also dropped his batting gear and followed suit. Inside the dressing room, Chahal appeared to be upset as he stood beside Jadeja, glaring at him with intensity. However, he soon broke into a smile, and Jadeja responded with a funny gesture, lightening the mood in the room.

When play resumed, Jadeja’s innings came to an end at 10 runs. India’s total reached 181 as they were bowled out in 40.5 overs. During the chase, West Indies lost four wickets to reach the target. Shardul Thakur proved to be the most threatening bowler, taking 3/42 in 8 overs. Kuldeep Yadav also performed well, being economical with figures of 1/30 in his 8-over spell.
