WATCH : RCB skipper Faf du Plessis commits a blunder by saying wrong slogan

The Indian Premier League has kicked off, and the league’s most influential franchise is determined to improve their performance this season. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s famous slogan “Ee Sala Cup Namde” has gained popularity worldwide. However, during an event held by RCB, skipper Faf du Plessis made a blunder by saying “Ee sala cup nahi.”

RCB is yet to play their first match of IPL 2023, but their preparations are in full swing. They are scheduled to play Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2nd for their first match of the season.

Last season, under the leadership of Faf du Plessis, RCB performed well and even reached qualifier 2. Despite their efforts, they were unable to defeat Rajasthan Royals in the qualifier. Nevertheless, the team appeared more balanced than ever under Faf’s captaincy.

During an event held in Bangalore, two prominent RCB figures, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, were in attendance and asked a few questions. However, Faf made a blunder when he incorrectly spelled out the famous RCB slogan.

Instead of saying “Ee Sala Cup Namde” (this year the cup is ours), he accidentally said “Ee Sala Cup Nahi” (this year, no cup), which caused Virat Kohli to burst out laughing. Ironically, Faf was unaware that he had stated the exact opposite meaning of the phrase.

Although Faf quickly corrected his mispronunciation, the player was unable to avoid embarrassment. Kohli’s mischievous laughter was also evident during the recent Hall of Fame induction event. During that occasion, ABD correctly pronounced the famous RCB slogan for the first time, which prompted Kohli to burst out laughing.
