After their six-wicket triumph over the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Rohit Sharma, the captain of Mumbai Indians (MI), appeared in an unprecedented demeanor, as he celebrated his 36th birthday on Sunday, April 30th.
During the post-match conference, there was a big surprise when Rohit Sharma even cracked a joke with the well-known cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle, who had wished him a happy birthday.
Harsha Bhogle pointed out during the interaction, “Today, everything happened – it’s your 150th game as a captain, 190th for MI, and your 36th birthday, just like it happened last year.”
In response, Rohit Sharma corrected him by saying, “It’s my 35th, not 36th.” Bhogle acknowledged his mistake and said, “Oh, they gave me one more. Good correction.” Rohit then chuckled and confirmed, “No, no, it’s my 36th.”
Rohit Sharma shared his pleasure after Mumbai Indians (MI) successfully chased down 213 against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The MI skipper gave credit to Tim David for his exceptional knock of 45* off 14 balls that helped secure the win for the team. Additionally, this was the first time a 200+ target had been successfully chased at Wankhede stadium.
