WATCH : Rohit Sharma’s playful pat to Sarfaraz Khan for comical catching fumble

India’s decision to field first proved fruitful in the two-day practice match against Prime Minister’s XI at Manuka Oval, which was reduced to a 50-over contest due to rain.

The Indian bowlers delivered an impressive performance, with Harshit Rana claiming a four-wicket haul as Australia crumbled to seven down. Sam Konstas stood out as the lone fighter for the hosts.

However, amidst the action, wicketkeeper Sarfaraz grabbed attention for an unfortunate mistake. On the fifth ball of the 23rd over, Harshit Rana bowled a back-of-a-length delivery outside off, slightly swinging away from Ollie Davies.

The batter missed his pull attempt, and the ball brushed past the outside edge. Sarfaraz, behind the stumps, failed to hold onto the catch, fumbling it from his palm in an awkward attempt.

Rohit Sharma, positioned at first slip, casually walked over and gave Sarfaraz a light pat on the shoulder, accompanied by a playful smile.

The moment, both amusing and lighthearted, quickly caught the attention of fans on Twitter, sparking a buzz on social media.
