WATCH : Rohit Sharma’s Ranji Trophy Dismissal Mirrors His Australia Test Struggles

Rohit Sharma’s tough time at the crease continued as he scored only 3 runs in Mumbai’s match against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy on Thursday.

His poor form has lingered since a dismal Test series against Australia, where he managed just 31 runs in 3 matches. Facing heavy criticism, Rohit opted out of the final Test in Sydney.

This marked his first domestic outing since 2015, but he couldn’t shake off his slump. He was dismissed quickly by Jammu and Kashmir’s Umar Nazir Mir, who bowled a short-pitched delivery. Rohit miscued the shot and sent it straight to fielder Yudhvir Singh for an easy catch.

The dismissal echoed his exit in the first innings of the fourth Test against Australia, where a similar short delivery from Pat Cummins had him top-edge the ball, caught by Boland.
