Winning the toss for the first time in the four-match T20I series, Suryakumar Yadav elected to bat first in Johannesburg.
The opening pair of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma capitalized on some loose deliveries during the powerplay, smashing them to all parts of the ground.
While Abhishek’s cameo was short-lived, Samson made a strong comeback after a couple of ducks, unleashing some brutal ball-striking. One of his powerful shots even led to an unfortunate injury in the stands.
