WATCH : Shaqkere Parris smacks a massive 124-meter six for TKR in CPL 2024

In the Caribbean Premier League last night, a towering six was hit that left everyone stunned. The ball soared so high that spectators had to crane their necks to follow its flight.

This incredible 124-meter six was hit by an unknown player, Shaqkere Parris, a name you may have never heard before. The 21-year-old hit a knee-bending six over deep midwicket, sending the ball over the stadium roof. This is the longest six of the season in the tournament.

It’s worth noting that the record for the longest six in the IPL is also 124 meters, hit by Albie Morkel against Pragyan Ojha while playing for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2008.

The match in question was the 19th of CPL 2024, featuring the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Guyana Amazon Warriors. The game took place at the Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. After winning the toss, Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard opted to let the Guyana Amazon Warriors bat first.

However, the Warriors had a poor start, losing wickets at regular intervals and managing just 76/7 in 12 overs. From there, Romario Shepherd and Dwaine Pretorius began to turn the match around, putting together an unbeaten partnership of 72 runs and taking the score to 148 by the end of 20 overs. Shepherd scored an unbeaten 51 off 24 balls.

For Trinbago Knight Riders, openers Sunil Narine and Shaqkere Parris began the innings. Narine quickly fell victim to Moeen Ali after hitting a four and a six in the first over. From that point on, the young Parris took it upon himself to accelerate the run rate. On the fifth ball of the third over, Gudakesh Motie bowled a full delivery outside off stump, to which Parris dropped to one knee and smashed the ball over deep midwicket for a six. The ball traveled over the stadium roof.
