Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Friday, where he received a warm welcome from Nepali fans and supporters dressed in traditional attire.
Dhawan was seen wearing a ‘Dhaka Topi’ as he exited the VIP terminal. Dhawan is set to feature in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), representing the Karnali Yaks franchise, following his release by IPL team Punjab Kings (PBKS) ahead of the 2025 season.
Shikhar Dhawan later made an appearance on the field to meet his fans, enthusiastically waving to the crowd of Nepali supporters, who responded with overwhelming excitement and cheers.
During a media interaction, Shikhar Dhawan expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to participate in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
