WATCH : Shreyas Iyer unleashes immaculate Narine bowling action imitation

In a highly-anticipated match, Mumbai took on TNCA XI, featuring star players like Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Baba Indrajith, R Sai Kishore, Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan, and Shams Mulani.

India internationals Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav also joined the Mumbai side for this final group match. TNCA XI reached 287-5 in 89 overs, with just one more over left to finish the day.

With left-hander Boopathi Kumar at the crease, the team was well-positioned for a strong finish. Surprisingly, Iyer was handed the ball for the final over, and his unconventional action caught everyone off guard.

In the 90th over, Shreyas Iyer channeled his IPL teammate Sunil Narine by gripping the ball behind his back and mimicking the Trinidadian mystery spinner’s run-up. However, the Mumbai star struggled with his control, resulting in a short ball that Sonu Yadav capitalized on by smashing a six over midwicket, ending the day’s play with TNCA XI at 294-5.

This wasn’t the first time Iyer had imitated Narine—he was seen doing the same during IPL nets. The Twitterverse found the imitation amusing, with many sharing their reactions on social media.
