Despite losing a couple of wickets early in the morning session, Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head’s 65-run third-wicket partnership helped the home side establish a solid lead.
While Labuschagne departed just before lunch, Head continued to dominate, reaching a century against one of his favorite opponents.
His performance left the Indian pacers visibly frustrated, especially when Mohammed Siraj delivered a fiery send-off after cleaning him up.
After hitting a four and a six in the 82nd over, Siraj bowled a brilliant yorker on the fourth ball of the over. Head, looking to clear his front leg and play across the line, was just a touch late, and the ball crashed into the stumps.
Siraj immediately walked up to the batter, stared him down, and exchanged a few words. However, Head, a local boy, fired back before making his way off the field with an impressive 140 runs.

The intensity of the verbal exchange prompted match officials to intervene, while the Adelaide crowd responded with boos whenever Siraj bowled in the following deliveries. This sparked a frenzy on Twitter, as fans reacted to the heated moment.
